What a busy couple of weeks! Susan and Aaron’s new baby has been an incredible blessing. There’s nothing in the world like holding a newborn grandchild in your arms. I’ve loved spending extra time at their home, taking care of Susan and the kids—but I have to admit—I’m exhausted. I was thrilled when their nanny returned to work and Aaron started his paternity leave.

That they named the baby after John has meant the world to him. I’ve never seen him this excited. He’s buying jerseys from his favorite teams for both the baby and Julia like it’s going out of style. There’s a new package at our front door every day.

Having Pam and Steve stay at Rosemont was wonderful. I think this trip was healing for Pam. Losing your mother leaves a huge hole in your heart. I hope they film the next season of Wishes of Home in Westbury. They wouldn’t disclose the identity of the property they’re considering, but something tells me it’s connected with Gordon. Time will tell.

Speaking of Gordon, I hope he and Anita are having a fabulous time in Paris—and that she returns with a ring on her finger!

And there’s my new project – chairing the Citizens’ Advisory Council for the proposed museum district (if the Town Council approves it). I’m thrilled Anita agreed to be on the council and can’t wait to work closely with Alex again. I’m grateful that John supports me in this new endeavor. I wonder what Alistair thinks? He’ll make his feelings known in his unique Alistair way!

I hear John on the stairs. It’s time to get a good night’s sleep. I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
