What a beautiful wedding! Sunday was absolutely breathtaking. Anita and her team did a spectacular job with her dress. The way she and Josh looked at each other during their vows brought both John and me to tears. Feeling his hand in mine—watching the light stream through the stained-glass window behind the bride and groom—was pure magic. I thank God every day for the blessing of being married to this remarkable man.
Susan glowed as the very pregnant matron of honor. I’m so delighted she and Sunday have become such good friends.
I can’t wait to hold a newborn grandbaby again! John and I are already clearing our calendars near the due date so we can take care of Julia.
This spring has been full of surprises. Finding bootleg whiskey in the basement of Anita’s new building would have been enough—but a mastodon tusk? Dr. Locke is beyond excited to excavate and display whatever they find at Highpointe. The college doesn’t have room in the budget for this—I’ll need to raise funds to support her vision.
Frank told me the groundbreaking for Forever Guides will be in the next few weeks. John and I will be there—along with half the town.
All of this can wait. I hear John’s footsteps on the stairs. It’s time to focus on my wonderful husband.
