The party at Forever Friends this evening was wonderful—so many things to celebrate. The brooch raised enough money to provide seed capital for Forever Guides. Gordon Mortimer slid in the back to watch the announcement, then tried to sneak out unnoticed. I’m certain he’s the anonymous donor who matched the sales proceeds. Who would have guessed? He’s becoming part of our Westbury family—I hope that continues.
Frank seems happy and content—at long last. His decision to hire Neil Parker to manage Haynes Enterprises so he can focus on the charitable projects he loves did the trick for him.
With Sherry working at the animal hospital, John will have more free time, too. He’s needed another vet for as long as I’ve known him. She’s terrific and already taking the load off his shoulders.
After all the issues during the last few years over the stolen rare books, things at Highpointe are running smoothly. John and I can take some of those trips we’ve dreamed of. I think it’s time to start making plans
